PORTLAND (WGME) -- Wednesday marks the first Valentine's Day in Portland since the “Valentine's Day Bandit,” Kevin Fahrman, passed away last spring. The Falmouth native is remembered for spreading joy each and every year throughout Maine's biggest city and beyond. (WGME-TV, Feb. 14, 2024)

Kevin Fahrman's daughter, Sierra Fahrman, and friends are making sure their loved one lives on.

“This is the legacy that Kevin leaves us,” friend Joanne Arnold said. “A legacy of generosity and love, of paying forward, of giving without needing anything in return.”

“I always really look forward to February and Valentine’s Day,” Sierra Fajrman said. “It’s been special to me all my life, and I think it needs to continue to be that way.”

During his life, Kevin Fahrman shunned recognition while spreading love throughout the city on Valentine’s Day, starting in 1976. His secret was revealed last spring when he passed away.
